Hou Hou Mei is the brainchild of husband & wife team JP & Karen Saint.
JP & Karen have been married for over 3 years and have two young children - Lyanna (4) & Mylo (1).
JP comes from a fine dining background, starting as a KP when he was 16 and training as Pastry Chef, to working with Albert Roux, and working his way up to being Head Chef at various AA Rosette hotel restaurants in Scotland.
Karen is a baker, and the face behind Saintly Bakes. Saintly Bakes supplied a few local cafes with wholesale cakes and bakes, and specialised in bespoke buttercream celebration cakes & other luxury bakes.
After years of dreaming and planning, with influences from Karen’s traditional Chinese heritage, JP’s creativeness and their love of food. They joined forces and brought Hou Hou Mei to life.
JP - “We wanted to bring something new to Inverness. Our take on traditional Asian Cuisine, but with an elevated modern twist.”
Karen - “Hou Hou Mei is like our third child. We wanted to create a special dining experience for our guests, from the food to the service!"
